UConn Cardiologists Uncover New Heart Attack Predictor
Dr. Bruce Liang, director of the Calhoun Cardiology Center, and his team of researchers have identified a protein fragment that when detected in the blood can be a predictor of heart attack and heart failure. If successfully applied one day, the simple blood test could mean another way to diagnose and possibly treat heart problems.
